The following examples will provide the steps required to create a User Privilege for cataloging staff - a User Privilege requiring all Cataloging operations enabled and one that will have limited operations enabled.
For a User Privilege requiring all Cataloging operations:
- Navigate to System > User Privileges.
- Click New.

- Enter a name for the privilege in the Alias field
(example: Cataloger).
- Select the operations required for this privilege.
- Expand module sections if needed to review available operations.
- Deselect any operations that should not be available.
- Click Save.
Result:
The new User Privilege is created and appears in the User Privileges list.
It can now be assigned to a User Role.
Optional Example: Enable All Cataloging Operations
If the privilege should allow full access to Cataloging:
- Select the checkbox next to Access to the Cataloging module.
- Expand the module to confirm all related operations are enabled.
- Deselect any operations that should not be included
- Click Save.
Simplified to focus on the core task. Removed explanatory text and UI narration, and made the steps into a clear checklist.
